Today I want to talk about the glorious creature we all know and love named Kirstie Alley.
I mean, you watch It Take's Two and you can just see a mutual respect between her and Amanda (and Alyssa she just doesn't realize it) as they discuss their lives. Adoption, true love, money, she talks about it all. While that may not be appropriate necessarily, Amanda is not most kids and is excellent. Amanda's ever-changing accent is used to express her ever-consistent devotion to her lovely case-worker Diane.
Also, her ability to make men fawn over her is fantastic. Her sass and comebacks are not for the weak willed man. She can have a sexy little chat with John Travolta in his hunky prime, and then go have a splashy water fight with a lovably awkward Steve Guttenburg and then emerge from the water like a damn siren.
Now I know, you may say these movies are both considered older which I would say, shut your damn mouth, these movies aren't old they are CLASSIC.
It Takes Two, as Crystal and I discovered, may be one of the sweetest Romantic Comedies OF ALL TIME. "You had me at Hello" has NOTHING on Kirstie's amazing feelings on love: "I really thought it was that can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff." ARE YOU KIDDING ME. That is adorable and I will have it posted on my wall in some kind of Pinterest fashion and I DON'T EVEN LIKE BASEBALL.
