So suicide squad came out and the world seemed to throw a fit. I had still wanted to see it despite the bad reviews, so I went and kept an open mind and you know what? I liked it a lot! Is there some things that could be fixed? Yes. But is it a fun movie with lots of action and explosions? Absolutely.
Harley Quinn is cool. Yes she is over-sexualized but what else is new in the comic book world?
Deadshot is excellent. The only thing I love more than Will Smith is a sassy bad-ass Will Smith.
Everyone else, was probably fine.
The movie has a lot of criticisms I haven't read because I didn't want spoilers, but I assume it was about plot and such. When does a super hero movie really have much of a plot. I mean... other than Marvel movies because they are the best. But DC does not have the best track record. At least this movie was fun. Batman v. Superman was literally the most unhappy, dullest, most terribly awful movie I have ever seen and I have watched documentaries about the War.
So don't trust all the negative hype, just enjoy the silly popcorn excitement movie. Many explosions and many silly comments. Just don't think too hard and that's all.
I don't often look at the trending topics on twitter because it usually has something to do with someone from a boy band or Beiber. I just looked at it now, and #RIPHarrysHair is trending higher than #CivilWar.
Now... In my opinion, the hair cut of a boy band member matters just so much less than civil war. Civil War is just the most important thing ever. I am disappointed in you internet. Get your shit together.
Also.. go see Civil War okay? It's so so good.
You get sent a surprise video from one of your favourite actors of all time. Thank you Paul Rudd, even if this is not actually truly meant for just me, I don't care. It made my week. Thank you! #TeamCap #4life
He also said my very best friends name ACTUALLY MEANING HER. It is amazing.
That is about the most I can say about Batman vs Superman.
"Disgruntled Sigh" - Tanya, Fancy Sweatpants
Please allow me to go and watch Batman movies and TV shows that are enjoyable as I patiently wait for Civil War to come to me and fill my heart with feelings.
Tonight I went to a short self defence class. I mean, we all know that I was hoping to come out of there with the ability to jump kick bad guys square in the teeth, but needless to say, I totally can.
Now that I have all the skills needed to "break skulls" I feel like I need a warning label that I have on my shirt or something that warns potential harm doers that I mean business. Something that says "Hey dude, don't even try it".
I guess that is why super heroes have their outfits right? You see a man in a bat suit or a guy with a bright shiny shield you likely will be like, "Hmm, this person probably would be a bad choice to mess with."
What would my super symbol look like you ask? Well I could use some suggestions as obviously it's early on in the process.
So let's think about some other super heroes, to narrow down the choices.
So Batman's deal is that he is really afraid of bats and thinks they will strike terror into the minds of the criminals. He uses his fear against others. So, I have a pretty serious anxiety disorder, so I am afraid of just about anything. How do I translate that into an entity?
His thing is his super special Shield. He is extremely strong and mighty, but has as his main source of awesome this defence against other people. It's almost like he doesn't want to fight, he just wants to protect. He is so noble its a little ridiculous. Good thing they cast someone so adorably likeable to play him. So if I had what I used to protect myself from others what would that be? Sarcasm... that is my main defence mechanism. Not sure how that would work...
Thor's hammer is something only he (or others who are worthy) can use. A ridiculously powerful magic object that somehow knows who is deserving of its power. Is there anything in my life that only works properly for me? Let's think, Ice cream cones and I have a very special relationship. I've said it before and I will say it again, its about structural integrity.
Super Tanya Potential Powers
So if I was going to be a super hero what could I use? Ice cream powers? Sarcasm? Or being afraid of literally everything? None of these are going to work out super great. What would your powers be if you were immediately turned into those heroes.
1. The thing you are afraid of
2. The thing you use to protect yourself
3. The thing only you and those who are worthy can do
Which of these would make for your most impressive super hero?
Leave a comment with your answers so that I know I am not the only one who fantasizes about becoming a super hero.
So I have been reviewing comic books for a few weeks and I realized I forgot to share the links over here just in case you want to track me around the internet! Which I mean, I think I am okay with. Just don't follow me in real life. That is a solid way to ask for a punch to the liver. I mean, I will go out of my way to google where your live is so I can punch it real good. ANYWAYS...
As I told you before I have been working on ComicPlug.com reviewing comic books each week. My most recent one was about Hades, who has become a vampire hunter and whose daughter has come back to life with some kind of sinister plot. It is called Hellchild. For my thoughts about it click on these words.
Action Lab is still my favourite one. It was so cute. Or Wynona Earp I liked her she seemed fun. I look forward to doing more and seeing what else is out there comic book wise!
So please be supportive of your favourite local weirdo, and read the words she writes in various places on the internet. Also, tell her she looks nice today. She sometimes needs to hear that, especially because most of the time it isn't true, but it would do a lot for her self esteem probably.
All the things on ComicPlug that I have written can be found HERE!
My newest comic book review is out and I very much would love it if you would all go read it and make me look good.

This week I reviewed a comic called Wynonna Earp, a cowboy-monster fighter who is kind of like Buffy meets the wild west. Really interesting, did not think I was going to enjoy it half as much as I did. Strong lady characters are something that have really become important to me, maybe because I want nothing more than to be a strong lady character myself, or because they have always been important but it's just only recently that media is allowing them to be portrayed as much as they have been.
Agent Peggy Carter
I think it is extremely refreshing to have female characters whose entire purpose isn't Love Interest or Ex-Love Interest or Love Interest's foil. I would (or have) watched shows and movies simply about these women and the lives they lead. So movie and television studios, please continue to bring us interesting and compelling bad-ass ladies and we will continue to watch them. Now, please excuse me while I search on Ebay for a Rey costume for Halloween.
I am very excited to announce that I will be working with ComicPlug.com doing some comic book reviews weekly!
Let us all be super lovely and go read the stuff they post on there because comic books are awesome and they have a lot of cool stuff.
My first review is up and ready for your lovely eyes to scope! CLICK HERE FOR THE THING.
I got to read a comic I had never even heard of but it is something we have all struggled with - jobs. It's called Freelance Blues and spoiler alert, it was very cool.
So go read that now, add ComicPlug.com to your favourites bar and then leave some comments about how amazing I am so they let me continue to do this. Deal?
