How to make writer friends: Engage in writer things.
Step one, find interesting people on the internet and try to participate in the fun things they suggest.
I just found a nice WriMo who is trying to connect with other blogger type novellers so I thought I would try to participate!
She is doing a thing that is called #NaNoMeet to try to -you guessed it - meet people who are doing Nano.
So here is the things she wants to know:
Name (or pen name): My name is Tanya. I don't have a pen name but if I did it would be something neat like... Kyle. I think that would suit me fine but let's not start that now it will be confusing for everyone involved.
NaNo Book Title. I am not 100% set on my title right now, but its so far labelled as: 225 Hours 37 Minutes.
One Sentence Summary (or more if you're feeling over-zealous). When Hettie gets her dream job across the country, her best friend Charlie takes it upon herself to get her there on time. What Hettie doesn't know, is that Charlie has plans of her own to finally accomplish her goals and try to get a prestigious internship at a television network. Trying to keep the focus on Hettie and to spend as much time together as possible, Charlie tries to keep her interview secret but the consistent delays and unplanned stops create pressure when they get too close to the date.
NaNo Goals. I just want to write a simple story about character development. This is my fifth year doing Nano and usually my stories are plot driven. Something big happens and they work to fix that thing. This is going to be my Indie movie of novels. Small, quiet, character driven. Does that make sense? It might end up super boring but character development is an important thing I think so I may as well try it now!
Fun Facts About You. I can sing all the words to Bohemian Rhapsody at any moment. I also am mostly a robot. I make the most architecturally impossible ice cream cones that are polarizing opinion wise. you either find it disgusting, or impressive. There is no in between.

Go see the original post made by Emily Layne if you are a fellow Nano participant and are looking to make some novelling buddies. We all need motivation right? It isn't just me procrastinating horribly?
